seriously. I used to regularly see a kid riding zipp 808's on the street in my 'hood like last year. as for discs, i've already seen several videos of kids in SF and Tokyo riding them on the streets...

since none of the hipsters are buying new(at least they claim they're not) it will be a long time before that happens since so many wheels that might be resold in a few years are just getting trashed instead.

Why would you want a set of carbon track wheels for riding on the road? They offer absolutely no advantages for urban riding, and in fact only offer disadvantages.

Is this some sort of new fad; race day wheels for everyday use?

I am thinking of designing a wheel that is autonomously powered by a team of Patrick Nagel illustrations come to life.

honestly, i really just love the look of them. there arent advantages at all, everyone has something on their bike just for looks.
