Total weekly US box office receipts still coming in at less than Tom Cruise's take home pay. Sad.

Here's a joke for you since I'm a barrel of fun.
Do you know why king and queen potato of potato land wouldn't allow the princess to marry Wolf Blitzer? Because he's a commentator.

Holy Moley!
"The damage from the collision caused the batteries from the Tesla to enter two different residences by breaking through the windows, one landing on a person’s lap and the second landing on a bed, catching the bedding on fire," police said. "A tire was ripped from the car during the collision and struck the second story siding of a nearby apartment complex with such force that it ruptured the water pipes within the wall, destroying the bathroom to the apartment and flooding the downstairs portion of the apartment as well."

Just because you drive a Tesla certainly doesn't promise you can actually drive. Bad things happen at 100 mph.

Nice! That’s how you know you left it all on the course, so to speak.
My most spectacular bad physiological happening was after a 10k regional X-C championship in college, where I came through the chute and went right down with horrible vertigo. I was literally holding onto the grass so I wouldn’t fall off and had to crawl to the team van. Never beat that time either, on dirt or pavement.

I slipped back into smoking a bit when I went through my divorce, it definitely set me back some. One thing I deeply regret.

I got to spend a fair amount of time in the ol' wood shop today, finally starting some small projects that have been shoved back for months (nice riding weather is hard to pass up). So, what did I make? Mostly a learning experience.

BTW, Corvallis is home to the Beavers, not the Ducks. Don't wanna cornfuse any east coasters.

Enjoying some car crash videos on the youtube and this classic came up. I remember the day vividly. We got a couple inches snow in the morning, then a little rain in the afternoon that turned to freezing rain later in the afternoon... And then it snowed some more on top of that.

On today's ride I braved upper 60 degree temperatures and rode in bibs and long sleeve jersey. No jacket required.

At really low power, I wouldn't make a point of keeping your cadence high - just keep the pedals/drivetrain engaged, spinning slow and easy. Like, boring and borderline wrong easy. Additional metrics would help, obviously - HR at least, but you could probably grab a left crank arm meter for under $300 in the coming weeks. The more time you spend in the saddle, the more important it is to vary the effort, I think. Well, if you want to get faster. Just going off of feel, you seem to settle in to a fairly narrow speed range (a spread of maybe 2mph?) regardless of whether you indicate that your effort was easy, moderate or hard. On my shorter rides, I can see a spread of 5mph between easy and hard.
As far as taking it easy, I havnt tried what you mentioned. When I “take it easy” I try to keep my heart rate lower and to not “push” myself but the average speed is always relatively the same. So I am doing something wrong.
Either my easy isn’t easy enough or I have never really gone “hard”.

I wish I’d gotten into running earlier in life. I was hugely overweight and a smoker until I was 30, lost a bunch of weight and decided to give it a try. I was doing low 7s on my 3.5 mile loop like 2 months after starting. I feel like I probably had some natural ability that I squandered by being a punk kid.
I slipped back into smoking a bit when I went through my divorce, it definitely set me back some. One thing I deeply regret.
