1974 Raleigh International frame and fork

For sale: 1974 Raleigh International frame and fork. The right front dropout was missing at some point and a new one has been brazed on. The chrome around the replaced dropout was lost in the repair process, but the rest of the chrome is in good shape. The original paint and decals are in relatively good condition. There are several scrapes and blemishes, which I've tried to highlight in the pictures. The original shop sticker is starting to peel in one corner. The rear spacing is about 128. I've been running it with a 130mm hub, but it isn't fully spaced for that. I guess I left it a little short when I cold set it.

Seat tube is 23.5" center-to-top (meaning the very top of the lug -- I'd call it 23" but I know Raleigh didn't offer that size). I'd call it 57.5cm center-to-center. Top tube is 57cm center-to-center. Head tube is 155mm.

I'm thinking $250 $200 plus shipping.

Sold!

That’s too bad. I was counting on you being the person to buy this. I told @gugie I thought about just messaging you directly. I’ve seen your comments on the other Internationals that have been sold here recently.

Dang - to have a birth-year 531 frame with chromed Nervex lugs and chrome socks in my size... wish it were a 60cm. GLWS!

Yeah, I had it built with 700x28 Conti GP 4000S (which measure a bit over 30mm on these rims) and fenders.

It doesn't have quite the tire clearance of the earlier ones, but you could probably fit 700x32 without fenders. Here are a couple of pics showing the clearance with these tires.

Neat bike. I'm surprised it's still hanging around.
