The part in the photo is missing , do you have any solution for using the derailleur?

In the pic, it looks like half the derailleur cage is missing, too. Why not just purchase a new/used replacement?

Your local bike co-op may have something suitable in their used parts bins. That derailleur is 1990's vintage.

According to Mombat, Shimano came out with their endless clamp/band in 1987 and They continued for 4/5 years. I have seen the Suntour version, but not the Shimano.

You probably should just replace the derailleur, if you can’t find something at a co-op. You can search eBay, but that is pretty unique in the sea of used derailleurs, and maybe more expensive.

Obviously it is possible to fab something since it is just strip steel with a nut, but I’m not sure it is worth it.

I believe that is just an optical illusion due to the angle the photo was taken at. I can just make out part of the outer cage plate above the top edge of the inner cage plate.

What size do you need? I might have a few extra depending on size. Posting it might be not worth it to Italy though.

As mentioned above, it's called an endless band clamp if you want to search ebay.

I just pulled one of those FDs out of the nonprofit shop's parts bin to put on a bike. They're around.

If you have an old set of drop-bar brake levers, the attachment mechanism is similar. You may be able to kludge something together. Good luck!
