Rise of the walgoose.
I'll make this abrupt as to give less fodder, free to me walmart mongoose....
First day home, in the shop kitchen. Seatpost/seat added (from parts pile). SRAM 8 speed chain, 19 bucks.
That was a couple weeks ago...
Yesterday I decided to work on it, so I rattled the frame and changed out the groupset today as well as the wheels.
(All from pile)
Rattlecan, sramx4 components, wheelset.
She rides great, only seems to weigh a little more then it should and is quite smooth. I'm also semi-light so the front suspension isn't bad at all (for me), and the rear is actually fairly stiff and has a lot of setting room left. All in all I'm really impressed with this mongoose...

A full suspension Walgoose!
Are you kidding me?
Alright, you've just got to keep us updated on this one!
I'm just very curious as to how this is going to end up. I'm really concerned about its reliability, durability, and performance. I suspect that everything might be alright now with the upgrades, except for your suspension system.

I've heard complaints about the BBs on Pacific's low end bikes, but the biggest issue with the bearings on the ones I've worked on was contaminated grease. I would regrease the bb and suspension pivot.

It was fully overhauled already , and just to update she still rides nice! I think I'm almost confident to try some actual downhill with her.
