What % of cycling community are considered Elite more specifically riding and buying bikes from let's say $2000.00 up to the top, whatever the % say 10 +-, would the remaining % buy their bikes not talking about bso's from Wal-Mart or Costco or internet and have L B SHOPS do the fitting and repairs therefore breathing New life to your LBS,,, what about that,,,

I have no idea what the rest of your question is asking.

I have never set-foot in a Wal-Mart. Why should I? Shut them all down and restore your community.

Lots of fallacies above but you really should find an adult to explain the concept of "economies of scale" to you sometime. Once you understand that you should be less likely to make dumb posts like the one above.

Nice attempt at ignoring the complexity of manufacture of a computer compared to a bicycle.

Good for you Indy. If your happy with that stuff, then that is what matters. Of course computers can be much more than $600, but that will still buy a nice laptop. Also the $2K bike mark being used would probable be considered be in line with the $600 laptop. But the point does not change that the laptop is ridiculously more complex, with ridiculously higher overhead and R&D costs.
Also, maybe a $600 laptop is "nice" for your usage but for other folks, it's woefully inadequate. Just like your inane bike analogy.

It's refreshing to see you confirm your absolute confusion. Thanks for that. Even though it sucks that there are folks that are as confused as you are walking around in our society.

And here you say nothing while trying to sound like you say something, and nothing to back up your nothingness but empty words of nothing!

Inside Giant's Taiwan frame factory ? part one - BikeRadar USA
"Giant builds more than 6.3 million bikes worldwide annually"
Only 6.3 Million for $1.8 Billion. No scale at all. Can't keep a single person busy all day with those numbers....
I'm done with you.

2015 Computer sales (units) 238,500,000
2015 Computer sales (revenue) $273 Billion
You're trying to compare apples to refrigerators. It's funny but only in a laughing at you kind of way.

Thank you for proving my point. Computers are relatively less costly due to economies of scale (seriously - find an adult to explain this simple concept to you).

The funny is your not backing up anything, or even trying to until your last post. Go troll someone else. I'm done with you.

Billions (computers) generate a vastly different economy of scale vs. millions (bikes) so yeah, getting back to your original idiocy "I'm not going to spend 2K on a bike. Computers are tens of thousands of times more complex, much higher overhead of production, hundreds of times greater R&D cost, and are $600." it's just as idiotic, if not moreso after your vain attempt at defending it.

2. LBS ALREADY do plenty of repair work on Walmart bikes... but not fitting.. nobody is going to spend $150 on a bike, then spend $150+ on a bike fit.

I felt I should clarify what constitutes an "elite" cyclist and the standard Walmart Bike Idiot lol. So in an effort to guide those who still havnt got it figured out yet, the below google images search should pretty much explain things lol... Because we all know the computer is always right lol......
Elite Cyclists lol. Sorry we cant deny them this category lol.....
