Hey Bah Humbug - I contacted Power2Max to ensure there were no compatibility issues with my crankset and Rotor aero rings. The response that I got was essentially, "yeah, they fit fine, but get Praxis aero rings instead - they shift much better... cold forged, yadda yadda"
Praxis only has them in a mid-compact in a 110 BCD, though. That would make my life 4% harder.

Conte's? They do rides on Tues and Sat, at least according to their calendar. I cruised by one of those days on my last trip here and it was crickets - no one there.
I saw another group meeting up at a park along the Cap Trail, can't remember if it was Sat or Sun, but I was already at the tail end of my ride and didn't feel like investigating.

I’ll just call them tomorrow, i’ve been wanting to ride in williamsburg it will give me an excuse.

Hey, at least you aren't trying to get the SRAM aero rings I drooled over when I was starting; those were 54/42. There was no fatty/ novice option.

Naw not contes. There is a trek store off monticello it used to be bike beat. They have a pretty big following, The one in yorktown organizes multiple group rides, I would imagine the one in Williamsburg does too. I went to the trek store in Williamsburg a couple months ago and got invited on a gravel ride. There also planning a century gravel ride this spring.
I’ll just call them tomorrow, i’ve been wanting to ride in williamsburg it will give me an excuse.

Til then end and then some. Not sure when that will be, but probably at least another week.

Tomorrow morning is the day that I’m doing a 40 miler. I might even go crazy and do 42 we shall see.
I pray I have some feeling back in my extremities by noon.

Oh. Well okay, then.
If I didn't favor the spacing of my 12-25, I wouldn't think twice about a mid-compact, but I do wonder if those two extra teeth would make me bail to the granny more frequently. I hate the granny.
Edit: ... and then there'd be two extra teeth on the granny and 36/25 would be my emergency gear. I'd better lose another 15 lbs.

<===Eats leftover pancakes
If I consumed food on the road, I'd be tempted to do a pancake ride, but Velo Vol doesn't carry food.

But will it asplode? Seems the brake pads will wear to whatever surface they're offered. At any rate, it is still a rim, not yet a wheel. I will keep the group updated. If I live.

Or buy a crap-ton of WW parts.
Back at that same time, I was envious of the Camp 13-29 cassettes. You still wouldn't like that spacing, I think, but you'd be able to run a standard crank then.

seedsbelize thanks for the general tip in your signature on the Shimano 600 bearing surface curvature. I'm sure it will come in handy one day if I ever figure out what it means.

back home, ac/heat guy fixed the heat. A motor burnt up, swapped it out good to go. Went to the air and space museum it was under reconstruction so everything I was stoked to see was under wraps. Got to see some cool space stuff, helped me reinforce my life decision to not become an astronaut.
