Goal 200 miles

9/4 - 17.33 - brutally humid after a humid/rainy holiday weekend with family
9/8 - 22.52 - rained for 3 days straight - extremely windy day (gusts up to 25+ MPH) but the longest ride since returning to the saddle a little over a month ago.
MTD - 39.85

Weather is looking good for the next 6 days. Would like to get close to 80 miles this week after work.

A third of the way through the month and a third of the way through the miles. This despite a few days of rain, a slow leak that I nursed along for 40 miles or so and a wreck. Great month so far!

9/13 - 40.3 Beautiful weather. Rode to the zoo, ate lunch and home. Despite the distance my moving average stayed above 12 mph which is an improvement from other rides over 30 miles this year. OTOH much of the second trail was paved v crushed limestone.

I ride with a Garmin Vivoactive HR watch that automatically uploads to Strava. Then every few days I add every thing up. I have a Garmin Edge 500 on the bike, but I don't bother to sync it. It's just there as a computer, the watch is the data tracker. Both Garmins use the speed and cadence sensors on the bike.

I use the Strava app on my iPhone and I also track on my Apple Watch. The Strava app is cool because it has a feature called Beacon which sends your real-time location data to your selected contact(s).
