Raspberry Gel: Yumm.
Sustained Energy: Carbs plus protein. Mix with gel for flavoring. Use on lonig rides.
Endurolytes: electrolyte caps. Only use them on Centuries.

I tried Cyto, Accelerade et al and found none to my liking. The Hammer products all sit well with me and seem to do the job.

Have you tried the eFuel and eGel from Crank sports? They have worked well for me!

I have as a matter of fact and I love eGel. I think it is far better than Hammer, Gu and Honeystingers (for me). It has a better composition of complex carbs and less sugar. I don't like the EFuel, but mostly because it's messy, harder to carry and the flavors do nothing for me (Cytomax isn't that hot either in terms of flavors, but I favor it for some reason). I order the Egels on line and get a price break. And for all you Socal riders, never pay for extra Fedex services. The package will get to you in one to two days anyway.

Interesting...I found their liquid much easier to use and mix in the field than powder...as for flavors...most everyones are pretty bad...but the eFule red is the worst warm...have to drink that one early, the others are ok...

I always figured the mtb'ers were the non-serious ones... Not so, eh?

XC racers are pretty serious from what I've seen. I raced SuperD last season and that was a blast, too bad they did away with it this year or I'd be doing that rather in XC. That atmosphere was alot better, more relaxed and fun. I even built up a nice fully, 5" front and rear for racing superD and they canceled it. I tried racing XC with my SuperD bike...no can do, PITA climbing with a 34lb bike with a all mt geometry. So I built up a 22lb hard tail budget racer that climbs ALOT better. It's getting converted to single speed this week for training purposes.

Hi, I'm Ron. That's me and my IF Club Racer in England a few years ago. I live in Topanga and mostly stick to the westside. You'll usually catch me riding up and down PCH. I recently went down to Palos Verdes for the first time, I'll be doing that again. I also ride around Topanga some, but I'm really just getting back into after a minor two year hiatus away from the bike. Once I catch my hill legs again, you'll see me on these group mountain rides.

it was way back in '98. i was more of a honda guy at that point, and i never would have guessed that ford would be the sole engine supplier eight years later.

maybe i'll change her name to panoz-cosworth.

That would be a neat trick if you could still get her to answer.
