"Vintage" Campy Nuovo Record gum hoods. Anybody try them ?
Just wondering if anyone here has ordered a set of the Globe logo Campagnolo NR gum rubber hoods being offered by that ebay seller in Italy. I wrote to confirm with him; yes, they are new production made with the original molds. I'd love to hear more details on that story, but, figured asking might be too intrusive. At least replacements are being offered again. Anybody here try a set yet and, if so, how do they look, perform?
Thanks
Thanks

rnitro1969@aol.com is Rob's email address; he charges $49 for a single set of NR/SR hoods and $39 for three or more and they are very nice.

I'm fairly certain I ordered a pair from that same ebay seller last spring. To be honest I dont know if I bought 'globe' or 'shield' hoods but they were soft and supple. What more could you ask for?

Yes, That's the guy. I watched them for ages, kept thinking I could snag a set for a relatively reasonable bid. I always seem to get outbid when I did jump in. Anyway, finally prevailed yesterday. I would LOVE to hear how he got a hold of the original molds, as he says he did. I've got an email into Rob. Thanks fellas. And thanks for the link to the CR lists. No wonder I could never find their forums.

Robbie's stuff is awesome. I bought several pairs of his Universal hoods and they are indistinguishable from the originals.

Another plug for Robbie's hoods. NOS globe logo hoods would have to be in pretty spectacular shape before I'd prefer them to the repros.
