I'd say it's a repaint- I've NEVER seen a Schwinn in that color.
What would I ask? I'd ask that it lose about 15 lbs.

Start looking for a Miyata or something, or at least a Raleigh. Everybody selling Schwinns seems to think Schwinns are really great! bikes. But you can find much better for the money.

Nice looking bike!^Best advice! People who don't know anything about bikes, think that anything that says "Schwinn" is "a good bike"- and if it's old, they think it's a "classic" and/or "a collector's item". Some of the old high-end Raleighs ride REALLY nice! Ditto Miyatas.
