SOLD!!! 89 Cinelli Mens Sana, Spectrum restoration, 58cm, Dura Ace
For sale is this gorgeous 1989 Cinelli Mens Sana bicycle. Seat tube is 58cm CTC, top tube is 57cm CTC. Stand over height is 33 inches. Color is light blue pearl. I bought the frame in 2015 from Tom Kellogg at Spectrum Cycles when the original owner declined to pay the restoration fee. Spectrum did all of the frame restoration including fresh chrome and paint.
Components are Shimano Dura Ace 740X 8 speed: 7410 crankset with 175mm arms and 53/39 rings, 7402 brake levers are perfect & hoods are original, brakes are dual pivot 7403, shifter, FD and RD are all 7402. As you can see from the photos, everything is in excellent condition. Bottom bracket is a Dura Ace 7410, chain is a KMC X8.
Wheels are hand-built Mavic Open Pro clinchers laced to DA 7403 freehub style hubs with Sapim double butted spokes; tires are nearly new Vittoria Rubino Pro III in size 25. Cassette is a 12-28, saddle is a Fizik Arione mounted to a Shimano aero seat post, bars are 42cm Nitto Noodles mounted to a Nitto Dynamic 9 stem. Cable housing is lined red translucent from Porkchop with Shimano stainless drawn shift and brake cables. No pedals are included unless I happen to have a set of used road pedals that work with your shoes.
Bike rides beautifully and presents well. Rode it at Eroica CA, the Dairyland Dare, RHM’s Hard Man Century, and many local events.
Would REALLY prefer to sell this as a complete bike for $1250 but will also entertain selling the frame/fork for $700. Please note that the original price for the restoration alone was over $1400.SOLD!!!
Price does not include shipping, but I will pack and ship it myself and use Ship Bikes as they are the least expensive right now.
Questions? Just ask.

Beautiful bike! Finally a DA crank that look great! Glad it is too small.
