SOLD! 1982 Merckx Professional FAEMA color scheme with Dura ACe 7400
For sale is this gorgeous 1982 Eddy Merckx FAEMA bicycle. Seat tube is 56cm CTC, top tube is also 56cm CTC. Over the bottom bracket cable routing. Stand over height is 32.5 inches. Color is off white pearl with red head tube and seat tube panel. I am probably the third owner of the frame, bought it from a reseller overseas. It was desperately in need of paint, so had it resprayed in the Faema color scheme by frame builder and painter Al Wanta.
Components (crankset, brakes, levers, shifters, hubs, RD, FD, headset) are Shimano Dura Ace 7400. Crankset has 175mm arms and 52/42 rings. Brake levers are perfect; hoods are original and new. As you can see from the photos, everything is in excellent condition. Bottom bracket is a 115mm sealed Shimano cartridge unit. Chain is a new SRAM PC870.
Wheels are hand built red anodized Velocity A23 clinchers (rear is offset) laced to DA 7400 freewheel hubs with Sapim double butted spokes; tires are nearly new Vittoria Graphene skinwalls in size 25. Freewheel is a six speed Shimano UG, 14-28. Saddle is a new Rolls Due in red leather. Bars are 42cm Nitto Noodles and stem is a Nitto Dynamic 9.
Cable housing is lined red translucent from Porkchop with new Shimano stainless drawn shift and brake cables. No pedals (unless I happen to have a set of road pedals that work with your shoes).
Bike rides beautifully and presents well. Took it with me to Wisconsin for the recent Fausto Coppi Centenario bike show and ride, where it received a lot of positive comments. Did the 100K ride in 4:55 without a single problem.
Price of$1250 SOLD!! does not include shipping, but I will pack and ship it myself and use Ship Bikes as they are the least expensive right now. No worries on the shipping, I’ve never had one damaged.
Questions? Just ask.

You're either gonna be super clean or super dirty from all these terrible baths.
