84 Schwinn 'Rainbow' Paramount, 57cm SOLD
For sale is this 1984 Schwinn Paramount ‘Rainbow’ bicycle. Schwinn only used this decal format for about a year and a half. Seat tube & top tube are both 57cm CTC (center-to-center). Over the bottom bracket cable routing. Stand over height is 32.5 inches. The original light blue pearl paint is in fantastic condition.
Crankset, brakes, levers, shifters, hubs, RD, FD and headset are all Shimano Dura Ace 7400. Crankset has 170mm arms and 52/42 rings. Brake levers are perfect; hoods are original and excellent. As you can see from the photos, everything is in outstanding condition. Bottom bracket is a 115mm sealed bearing Phil Wood unit. Chain is a SRAM PC870.
Wheels are hand built dark anodized H + Son TB-14’s laced to DA 7400 freewheel hubs; tires are new Vittoria Rubino Pro III in size 25. Freewheel is a six speed Shimano UG, 14-28. That’s a Schwinn racing saddle, Cinelli 42cm Giro D’Italia bars and a Cinelli stem.
Cable housing is period correct gray Dura Ace with new Shimano stainless drawn shift and brake cables. No pedals (unless I happen to have a set of road pedals that work with your shoes).
Bike rides beautifully and presents well. Some of the decals have been touched up by hand, but otherwise this is a pristine example of mid 80’s Schwinn craftsmanship.
Price of $1250 SOLD does not include shipping, but I will pack and ship it myself and use Ship Bikes as they are the least expensive right now.

omg that's beautiful. Our size matches spot on. Thank goodness I just found a De Rosa and can't justify any of these, they're amazing, as always.
