So... what was up with these? I remember, when I was a kid, going into part stores, gas station shops, and peoples personal garages, and seeing calendars with spicey illustrations of woman holding up car parts, or leaning on cars. So, I got it, even as a kid, why that might generate interest in a product. Do these sexy Raleigh ads somehow align with that idea? And how?

^ Pin-up adverts were the norm back then for all sorts of products. Far more in Europe than the US.
There were many 'risque' cycling too, but in regards to the Raleigh posted above, believe it was exclusive to that dealer and part of a series.
Times have changed and so convoluted that if BSA were around today with their 3guns on the headbadge, the bosses would be fired. Lol

Schrader valve caps

I'm not sure what makes any of these models "creepy," unless I was talking to a 14 year old girl who thinks everyone is "creepy." I am, though, disappointed in the touring guy's complete lack of leg development and the drive-side cable routing of that rear aero brake lever.
