Dura Ace Wheelset Wh 9000 plastic coating is peeling.

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

The separation of the plastic coating on the carbon rim looks nasty. Is it possible to peel it off? Paint it? Sharpie? Or should I leave it alone? I donít notice the way it looks when I am riding.

That plastic coating is a thin layer of carbon fiber. I have the same issue on my c24ís after about 5 years of riding them.

If you have the deep rims with the 21h rear and it's toast, I'll give you good money for that rear hub.
