Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Are kids out of school for the whole week or just Monday? If for the whole week that’s going to gum up my plans.

They gave me another tray of clear liquids for lunch. No problem. Can I go home?

Oops, no. They want me to have “full liquids” first, so I got a second lunch of tomato soup, vanilla pudding, a mighty shake (like ensure), crab-grape juice, and a half pint of milk.

I am hoping they will let me go home soon.

Doing your taxes without a W-2 is like building a bicycle without a frame.

Anybody here can explain to me what this Future Shock business is all about. Some Specialized feature or gadget or something? What's it supposed to do? Is it really a shock absorber? On road bikes?

They're probably afraid that you'll go home and eat more twigs and bark and stop yourself up again.

I got $1500 back this year from the IRS and I'm a little miffed. Should be closer to zero.

So, my tax lady runs my figures through her witchcraft software for next year with the new tax rules and told me that if nothing changes, I'll be getting $5,000 plus back. Dang, I must be in some sort of sweet spot with the new tax plan.
