This works pretty well. I just slap it on my helmet. Clip a red blinkie on the back of the strap.

but for more serious nighttime jaunts i'll throw my cateye LD1100 and EL530 on. Powerful stuff for AA LED's.

I have several Cat-eyes.

I have a 410 (looks like original post) - Decent, works when dark, but if around lights, my eyes can't adjust to it's dimness... it's just not bright enough... but convenient enough, and makes a great "be-seen" light.

Larger spot light looking single LED cat-eye - direct point light... not much outside of that point. I have to aim the light up, otherwise, my eyes can't see anything out of the bright focus point.... which probably blinds drivers. I aim it down when one approaches

In between - 5 led mid sized cat-eye... best of both, brighter, but not focused.

Cat and schwinn tail-lights. - 4 LEDS each.

How do you like those? I have the original minewt single but am thinking the dual X2 would bet nicer. I want to put a red lens in my single-minewt and make it into a rear flasher and use the dual X2 as a new front. What do you think?

Light and Motion Vega and some random red blinker for the rear. The Vega is the greatest light I have ever encountered. It has a perfect combination of being really ****ing bright and being compact and easy to carry around.

Except I think I lost it. Hopefully it will show up when I clean my room.

I think you should use the single minewt on your helmet and just use a superflash on the rear. The minewt for the rear (as with a dinotte) is overkill. The minewtx2 is great but the short power output (>2hours on full) leaves something to be desired.

if you'er talking about lights to see with the place to go is the mtb forums, lights to be seen with, anything over 10 euros and you are doing okay

Thanks MIN, I mainly commute w/ my lights, but there are some streets that have crappy street lights and my Minewt just barely cuts it. In the summer I run my LED's in flash mode which people notice, so I don't worry too much about run-time in the summer. But in the winter, my commute at night is about 1.5-1.75 hours if I ride the whole way..... its nice only having to charge once a week....
