Tommasini frame building video

From
tubing to final finishing " data-width="500" data-show-text="true" data-lazy="true">
tubing to final finishing " class="fb-xfbml-parse-ignore">Facebook Post
- pretty interesting and fast moving. You see them build a lugged frame, and a welded one.

URL isn't taking, maybe because it's inside facebook. If you search facebook for "Sepeda Balap Jadul Indonesia" you'll find it. Sorry.

Certainly not shy about bringing the bb up to temp, 1:30 in, then removes it from the "mini-hearth" and uses the torch to flow the brass where it needs to go.

I learned that it's less about not getting the joint too hot as it is having an even temp across the joint. Al Eisentraut use to tell a story about visiting Italian frame shops and watching while entire head tubes and a few inches of TT and DT get bright orange hot during the brazing, using either multiple tips, one large rose bud or a hearth type of set up. Loved the video (with the sound off) the tooling required to get it done precisely and work this fast is also a revelation. Wow.

And yet still require manually wrenching everything into line after and doing so much hand detailing after. I imagined it would all be mostly machines.
