I think I did near 18 miles yesterday. They are saying rain, but we've been in drought all year here at the southern tip of Lake Michigan.
I will start a thread on that, didn't really put much thought into it lol.
18 miles that's a nice ride how much was uphill?

Not many hills here.

9 Miles today cut short by rain. Had to hide at times while it lessened up. Felt great and heartrate was twenty beats less than the last week.

BTW, I am 6,2" and I am riding a 58 cm Sutra. I could probably use a 56cm as the tires are pretty big, but I am fitting the 58cm very well after losing a few pounds. 58cm might be a good size for you to look at.

23.3 miles (37.5k). Feeling low energy so I dropped into the small chain ring to climb a hill and couldn't get back onto the big chain ring until after a couple of miles and several tries. Complicated mechanism the electric front derailleur. But I like it (when the nut on the seat can properly adjust it).
I've broken 5,000 miles for the year,

Congrats on both the 5k and the 20k! How many years did the 20k take?

21 miles Wednesday afternoon. Intended to tackle some hill interval repeats but legs felt dead and the hills I had in mind are all southbound -- right into 12 mph wind with 20 mph gusts today. So I just climbed 'em slow and steady. The new 39T chainring and 25T rear cog made it tolerable, though not fast.

Finally felt well enough to try going for a ride. Didn't want to push it so I went nice and easy for 25 miles.

60 miles today, would have been 50, but 5 miles out I realized I'd left my water bottles home. Blue skies, but cold again. At least It wasn't raining today like it did at the end of my ride Monday.

Midnight Special pulled out a bit late today. 12:49AM departure with 15mph winds gusting over 20mph and a nice humid 75F. Had some showers but nothing severe. 103 miles done when the engine pulled back into the station. Was a bear since Old Blue was used, my 1983 Paramount with HD wheels, upright steel bars, tools, lock, bell and enough other extras to help tip the scale at 28lbs.

A little slow going today due to the wind, the bike and the back-2-back Metric Century rides on Tuesday. MOON was fabulous even thru the clouds and during the western setting this AM it was HUGE. Predicting rain for tomorrow PM and Saturday AM so might have to get out tonight before midnight for another ride.

A glorious day and the best ride I had in twenty-five years. I rode to Illinois and there are some great trails there. Excellent condition and fall colors are coming along nicely. Lost count of preying mantises and then rode to within 12 feet of two beautiful wild turkeys. My first forty miler on the 'Sutra. Bike fit is impeccable lately and I just love my new bike.

41.4 Miles @ 12.6 moving average. It says I did 46.2 max mph, but I'll have to verify it on my next trip there. 470 feet climb, 259 feet of descents. 3h 18m. I feel great and could have gone 50, but that is next week.

Glad you're feeling better John_V. I've been battling RA (mostly in hands) and this bum shoulder. VA hasn't contacted me yet about the shoulder replacement surgery, supposedly sometime next month (???). While I'm riding all that fades into the background for a while.

21.4 miles (34.4k). Still pretty cool at 8:30AM to start (mid 40s) but makes for a brisk ride. I've put more miles on the new (to me) Roubaix Pro since July (1,361) than I have on the other Roubaix (1,242) all year.

About 10 miles after work this evening. (Rained hard this morning so drove to work.)

35 yesterday. Crossed paths with a riding buddy I haven't seen in almost two months at the turn, so we rode back in together. Tonight was a walk with my wife, watching the orange moon rise.

23.0 miles (37.7k). Wasn't sure I'd be able to ride today, RA flare-up in the right knee. But Prednisone and a ride put that in the background. I goofed and rode through a newly paved patch. Now the tires are covered with pavement gunk that won't come off easily.

34 miles Friday evening. Mostly an easy pace, saving energy to chase personal bests on some northbound Strava segments, since we had a 10-15 mph wind out of the south.

Did manage to set some new personal bests, but was surprised I wasn't even faster. I may have finally encountered the limits of my platform pedals -- on some bumpy stuff it felt like I was struggling to keep my feet planted. And I prefer to spin whenever possible -- I can feel my feet losing contact on the upstroke near 100 rpm. Probably time to consider foot retention for the road bike, although I plan to keep using platforms on the hybrid.

Did 17 miles today Chertsey to Kingston and back, slow pace though as it took me 1 hour 55 mins. Left at 7.15am, very light traffic and I used a canal path as well so I could admire the trees changing colour. Think this is my favourite time of year.

I got in a trip to the barbershop, the farmer's market, and a rain shortened 74 minute ride, all before 10:30 this morning. The rain was not supposed to start until this afternoon, but it fooled a lot of people this morning. I say a lot of people, because during my ride I noticed a multitude of late season yard sales. As soon as the sprinkles began, I returned home. I don't like riding in the rain.

45 miles today with the club. Between having to deal with my elderly parents in NJ, and a pretty bad chest cold, I've been off the bike a lot. Too bad, because I really wanted to peak for the Senta Fe Century and the Horrible Hundred. Sometimes life gets in the way......

Ah, rubbing alcohol. That's what I needed to know, thanx. But I ended up just riding it off. Tires are good now.

29.0 miles (46.7k). Quite a bit warmer today. I went further south and east than normal to the Huffaker incline. Kiwanis Bikes (they host the Kiwanis Coffee Riders Mon rides I go on) was having a family day in Cottonwood Park so I stopped for a burger n' hot dawg. Back to the cold (n' windy) weather tomorrow.

53 miles today on the first day of the Hilly Hundred in southern Indiana. About 2000 ft of climbing, which is a lot for a flatlander. Today was on the longwheelbase ti 'bent. Tomorrow i will have help on the 'bent tandem.
