Wondering what this one is worth? Beautiful restoration by my brother.

Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's and older road bikes.

Those are old derailleurs. Back when this was made, you did not have cables. You had to lean back and shift.

I am not good with estimates, but I would guess $1000-2000.

Very rare shifters.

Thats brilliant . The frame geometry doesn't look much different from 70-80's or even some old school modern stuff .

That is the shifter for the front derailleur. You just move it over by hand. Simplex shifter.

.
...your brother did a nice job. I do a couple of similar restorations every summer, and it's a lot of work.
It looks like he might even have re-chromed some stuff. I honestly have no idea on the value. Just how much work it takes.

Front derailluers like this are sometimes referred to as Suicide Shifters. The back derailleur is probably a Campagnolo Cambio Paris Roubaix model.

Now that's a vintage bike. The color is outstanding. That fork is beautiful. I'm guessing $1000 for paint and decals alone. I'd value at $3000-3500.

Many prefer original, but that is a great color. And with that shift setup I would say $1,200 is not unreasonable on a fairly quick local sale. Ebay might bring 2k+-. The vintage road market did not take off with all the other types of bikes for casual riding. Just my .02.

Before my time of any real knowledge but a beautiful bike. Might suffer from the restoration a bit as my perception is that a lot of people in this market time frame like original and patina. The components are worth a fair bit. Hard to see this going for less than $2000 but I don't really know.

You're going to have to put this on eBay to get top dollar. This is a fairly knowledgeable group but bikes this old are not something we see a lot of. And the restoration is a mixed bag. It's a beautiful job but the bike is no longer original.

If you pay to join Bike Forums (it's around $10 a year I think), you can list the bike for sale here on the C&V forum. The bikes from this collection are my size and I may be tempted by some of them.
