Something faster than my 1998 Rans Rocket

The Rocket's been great, but I'm looking for something faster and better at climbing hills. A lot of Bacchettas are advertised on my local CL, and I'm guessing one of the newer, taller-wheeled 'bents would be faster. The Rocket probably weighs a good 28 pounds or so, which doesn't help. Any suggestions for something in the $1,000 or under range, used?

Bigger wheels maybe but most importantly, more laid back. Heck, I've gotten an M5 lowracer for under $1000. Just how much faster do you want to go?

A good 2-3 mph at least. Don't want the more laid back position. My neck can't handle it. I'd rather go with a road bike in that case.

Usually you'd be using a neckrest if you're laid back. If you want to sit upright, how about a P-38? That'll give you a boost over a Rocket.

I also have a p-38 and can verify that it can be a fast one...not with my motor, but it is faster for me than my others...especially on the up-hill...good luck in your search.
