Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

I'm happy.

I'm happy.

I went on a group ride today. The two fastest riders in our group was a couple who looked to me to be in their 40's.
I passed them while they were stopped to fix a flat tire. They passed me back about 2 miles from the end of the ride. I hitched on and stayed with them to the end of the ride. The fellow immediately came up to me and commented "You move pretty fast on that thing."

One of my concerns about buying a tadpole trike was that I wouldn't be able to ride fast enough to satisfy myself.

I'm happy.

Yeah, but I don't want anybody to think that I might be the slowest one either.

Conga-rats of the great ride! Feels good to chase down a road bike. Keep it up!

I tend to ride sedately when on my ICE sprint, but occasionally I will latch on to a passing roadie and enjoy the look on their faces when they can't dislodge me. I will back off when I know that a hill is approaching, though, because I don't want witnesses to see how fast I am with that challenge.

LOL! I chased down a roadie with a sustained 21 mph a couple weeks back. He was pretty flabbergasted. Endorphins, the great equalizer!

Not enough 'bike riders' around for me to have that chance very often...but I enjoy it when I can.,
