Fluro Shoes Still Cool?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fluro Shoes Still Cool?

Basically the title, I am 21 years old and starting to get into back into cycling after about a 7 year break. I know about 2 years ago companies started making fluro/high vis shoes. Are these still popular? I like the idea of the added visibility, but I don't want to look like a jack*** teen with bright colored shoes!

IME, fashion statements that are as extreme as fluorescent shoes are mercifully brief.

But I thank you guys for your responses. I think I'll just end up getting something classic-white with reflective pans.

What if what others think is what makes you happy?

I agree, ride what you like.

As to your question, I think they are more "in fashion" now than ever.

Would I buy them? Nope. I'm way too "get off my lawn" for those colors!

Be careful of looking too much like a runner, the rules exist for a reason!
