Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bontrager shoes

Anyone have any experience with Bontrager shoes? Specifically the RXL model. My 15 year old Nike road shoes are almost spent and my LBS carries Bontrager almost exclusively. Thanks in advance, Bo.

I'm on my second pair. RLs first, now Velocis, because they come in wide. In between I had Bonts. The Bontragers are far more comfortable and perform in an equivalent manner.

Been using the RL Road carbon for the last 5+ years now. They have been pretty good and I can't get myself to buy new shoes since there's nothing wrong with these ones. I'm still using the original "e-sole" that came with them.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to give the RXL's a serious look. If the fit is good I'll give them a go.
