Easton/Velomax Circuit rim question
Hi all,
I am seeking some help with a busted Circuit rim that I would like to replace.
1. Does anyone know the ERD (I am estimating 586 or 587)?
2. Can anyone confirm that the rims useds are actually SUN Swift (ERD 585)?
Thanks, it's good to be back.
Josh

If Damon Rinard's data base on Sheldon Brown's site (www.sheldonbrown.com/rinard/) or the data base on DT's site don't give the ERD, you are best served by contacting Easton directly.

Thanks Hillrider!
Yes, I have contacted the Easton distributor here in Oz and they:
1. Won't tell me the ERD (they say they don't build the wheels so don't need to know it!), and
2. advise I wait 2 months until they get replacement rims in.
The replacement Circuit rims they will stock cost more than double a quality rim, so I want to investigate options to get these wheels rolling again.
I used spocalc to find a few rims that would fit into my ERD estimations for a replacment rim, but the Circuit is not in the list.
I manually measured a built up Circuit yesterday, and my estimation was right. It is 587, which means I'll search out for an Alex DA28 700 (which from profile looks to be the rim Easton use anyway).
Thanks.

Easton Circuit = Alex DA28 = Sun Swift = Velomax Circuit
I can confirm that the rim Easton use is an Alex DA28 700c (ERD 584.8).
Sun market the same rim as Sun Swift.
Hope that helps someone in the future.
