2011 giant tcr advanced 1 -good for a first bike??

guys= getting back into riding after many years off- looking for a good bike for road use- I have an opportunity to get a 2011 giant tcr advanced 1 never ridden for under $2000- How good is this bike ?? it seems like a great bike from what I can read but need your opinions- No racing just good rides - Is this over kill> thanks

For that price, you can also get a Roubaix, Synapse Carbon or a Defy Advanced. I would test ride a few more bikes before plunking $2K.

If you have 2k to spend test out as many bikes as possible. The LBS will have no problem letting you try some out when they see your a serious buyer with serious cash.

That TCR Advanced would be an awesome bike. I have been very happy with mine over the past year. Like the others have said, throw your leg over it and make sure it is the bike for you first.

TCR Advanced One is Giant's top of the line TCR I think. New I want to say around $3500. That's a nice deal. I'd get it.
