Need a bike...Please help!
Hey I am new to the sport and have no idea what bike to get. I am 25 200lbs and have very little experience. Can anyone help?

200 lbs. Definitely want a very sturdy bike. Full cro-mo. Be prepared to spend well over $300 if you want anything half decent.

I'm 192lbs and ride an '06 Mongoose Hardball. It's a singlespeed MTB designed for DJ/street. Paid $530 from Performance, plus "10% off" in performance points. I'd be surprised if anyone could find a better bike for $480.
Specs:
Frame has straight dropouts & chain tensioner
Atomlab bars and stem
Hayes Nine brakes F/R
24" Sun Singletrack rims
Truvativ cranks
Marzocchi Dirtjam Pro Fork
The only thing I replaced were the POS pedals.
