Well I had a successful trip to the bike swap... successful meaning I bought enough cheap bike stuff to make up for the $10 entrance fee. I found a cheap $10 Ultegra FD-6500 28.6 clamp-on, a 90mm quill stem for $5, and a pair of nice Sugoi arm warmers for $5. There was a lot of other stuff that was tempting but I didn't really "need".
I looked for the booth/space that bigbossman was supposed to be at but didn't see him. Hope you sold a lot.

Scooper found us.
I did well - sold a couple of bikes, a set of wheels, and a beater Ciocc frame. I also picked up a NOS set of Centaur 10 speed shifters for $100. They're for my new frameset that showed up yesterday (my birthday).

Does... not... compute...
There was a gorgeous Columbus SLX Ciocc on eBay the other day. I almost pulled the trigger, but with the expensive shipping and it being in Germany, I hesitated. I kind of regret it. Right size, and soooo pretty (check out the seatstays).
Happy post-birthday!

It was like the other bike swaps/shows that I've been to. There was loud music and BMX freestyle jumping happening too. There were lots of nice wheelsets but I didn't see how they were priced.

Whereabouts in the hall were you? What stuff did you have in your booth. I'm pretty sure we hit all the booths.

North Hall, a row away from the guy with all the high-end vintage resto's against the wall. We had 2 consecutive spaces, and a whole bunch of bikes. My friend had a really nice 55cm Lemond Poprad cyclocross bike at $400 that was test-driven several times all day but never sold. I thought it was a great bike at a great price, but it didn't move. Go figure.

I was there looking at all the vintage bikes. I must have been heads down looking at parts when I missed you... although I would definitely remember a $400 Poprad.

I was there looking for cyclocross stuff and looked at the poprad but decided not to get it. It'd make a nice bike for someone for sure though. The price was good. But there were a lot of low prices around. I ended up buying a new bianchi axis from the bent spoke booth (leftover '07 model, tiny dimple in top tube...$650 and no tax).
Hope there is another one of these swaps soon!

I went late on Sunday and I must have missed a lot of the good stuff. And the stuff I did like, although cheap imo, were more $$ than I had available. (cough, cough, wife was with me...) I did get some decent new mtb tires for $7/ea and a couple of books for $5/ea. Didn't win anything in the raffle though.
