87 Miyata One Twelve (reborn mishmash)

Finally finished this build. It started out around 1990, when a small local bike shop traded a frameset from a stripped '87 Miyata 112 (and new derailleur group) for an old Mac computer I no longer wanted. At the time, he got the better deal. Today, no question who did. Lucky me.

The intent was to flesh out the frameset with new and used parts I had laying around. This was to be my TT and day trip touring bike, temporarily replacing my '84 Nashbar Road LP, which was to be stripped to the frameset, parts cannibalized for this build, and over the winter get a powder coat finish and winter build up with new/different components. I've gone through trials and tribulations in getting this together, a combination of COVID-19 induced shortages, ordering snafus, and price gouging. Yay free market! Some components you will see on this build will be most likely replaced or upgrade in the future--like new toes straps. After spending months waiting to get parts for this, I placed completion as soon as possible over perfection in design.

So far it's only had test fit runs up and down the street. Later this week I give it a more thorough shake down run.
