Hi from Ireland

Hi all, Just joined up from Dublin, Ireland. I've been riding Rando events since 2009, a good while before that I spent a few years doing Triathlons, not very well. I'm considering converting my old Cannondale M800 MTB to a drop bar set-up, but it's not the easiest choice of bike to start with, mainly due to the 1 1/4" Stem, and high BB. My main bike is a made-to-measure Titanium frame from a UK designer, with mostly Shimano Ultegra bits. Also an 80's 10-speed Raleigh that I used for the Triathlons, but then converted to a fixie, which I use for local rides sometimes. Kinda regret converting it now, as in hindsight it would have been quite nice to keep it as it was.
Looking forward to getting some good tips from the Mechanics and Drop-Bar conversion Forums !
Cheers, Niall.

Thanks. I'm not sure what model, I doubt if it was anything special. Not a Ti Pro or anything like that. I don't remember there being a name on it, and I bought it second-hand. Here it is post-abuse, and on it's way to be powder coated.

Doesn't look like anything I've ever seen sold in the US. Reynolds 531 frame though, and very high-end looking, despite the lack of chrome. I'm sure it's a great rider. My '76 Competition is also a 531 frame, and is my most versatile bike, it can run 35's with no problem.

Please post pics when you get it back from the coater.

Raleigh

Those pics are a good few years old now, I converted it to fixed in 2009. Here's a current pic.
