Nite Rider Mi-Newt X2 question

The Nite Rider Mi-Newt X2 looks like a good bike headlight for the money. It appears that the battery pack mounts to the horizontal flat on the underside of the upper stem. That wouldn't be a problem except that is where my trip computer is mounted and it looks like there might be some interference trying to mount the battery pack there. Does this light have a long enough cable to mount the battery elsewhere on the frame? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I know there is an extension cable with my minewt 300, i bet the same thing would work on that. I'd email them to see if they can sell it separate.
