Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

this is my work in progress, I'm pretty excited by it and cant wait for it to be completed.
VO porteur bars, SunTour 42t crankset.
Replacing the brown grips with some black ones, swapping a black b17 onto it from another bike. Ordered a brown b17 to replace that one.
There's a wald 137 front basket that's been ordered, along with a 15t fixed cog and lockring by shimano. Some "classic" styled brake levers from VO as on the way as well.
When I build it up, I'm going to throw some Panaracer TG gumwall tires, 700cx28.
Last thing I need to order will be fenders. Still deciding what route I want to go. Thinking of the VO hammered ones, but perhaps someone has a suggestion for me?

Built this for rides around town on Sunday afternoons...in the end it was just too heavy

So, I built this a few years ago to replace it...much better, so much so it's now my everyday ride

Quick update:

Installed the walde basket, got the wheel set, and swapped the brooks saddle over from my other bike.
next up is the installation of the chain, the fixed cog and lock ring, the tires (panaracer gum walls,) and swap the grips over.

Sooner or later I'll order SKS chromoplastic fenders.

ALLLLLLLMOST THERE!!!

Blumels Shorties, the least amount of fender you can have and still call it a fender, it's a British thing. These are exceptionally thin alloy, almost foil like. that's about it.

Thanks! Yup, its a SA 3spd Barcon and yes it's a s3x hub.
