@phtomita, I'm eager to hear how you like the 145s. That's pretty darned short, but they may be good.
The trend lately is for bike makers to use longer and longer cranks. It's not a well-understood science, so they're not crazy, but member @rhm has opposing theories. I decided to try them, and I agree that shorter cranks work better for me. Rudi is tall and long-legged, so when he uses 165s, they are short for him.

- was not that bad since temp was on its mid 60s).Some things I noticed.
1. I had my right knee a bit uncomfortable on Saturday with 165s and when climbing stairs at home. Sunday was ok in the morning, but when was replacing the 165s to 145s was bothering a bit.
Riding was good, no discomfort in the knee spinning - in the beginning I was spinning like 100+ since my front was on a 38T....
2. The crank arm is a triple, so my ride was to a bike shop to get a triple FD. On the middle, tired of spinning without higher gear, I loosened the FD and moved the chain to 52T and I have a 34T rear to bail me out.
Riding was good, comfortable all the way going and back.
3. Not sure if because of my tired legs, but on some ascends it seemed I was slower than normally. There are differences between the bike (brifters vs down tube) and I also don't like much the 23 tires on this bike.
Will update more as I get more mileage, since I will be riding more this bike instead of the TriA.
Got an Ultegra triple FD from the shop and have to install it
.While replacing the crank arms, noticed I have to pay attention to the little pin on the big ring
- so you don't have to unscrew all again....The pick of left arms got some angle - the longer one is a 600 165mm and the other one is no make 145mm.

Shorter cranks can make climbing harder, since you have less leverage. My bike with short cranks (155mm) is a fixed gear intended for city riding. I don't take it on many hills. There is one which is difficult, but so what. My gear ratio is 74 inches.

Smaller circle to pedal with shorter cranks, with optimum gearing & cadence; you may be more efficient on the climbs when sitting in the saddle.

YES YES YES!!! Shop employees was like bring it in 30 days if you don’t like it. I was like WTF. Same thing with most Bontrager products including helmets. I just put the tape on one side and already love it. Feels tiny wee bit thicker than Lizard Skins DSP 2.5. Nice texture. I think I’ll keep it!

Thicker than 2.5.. sounds a bit too cushy for my taste, but glad you like it.

How long is the warranty on that tape?
I like reusable tape, like leather. I have some tape I've moved from bike to bike. It ends up saving me money in the long run. There are not many such tapes. I'm about to try Brooks Cambium tape which gets bad reviews, but it's already paid for.

It's not really a warranty, they were like if you don't like it take it off put it in a plastic bag and bring it back to us for full refund in 30 days.

I was hesitant to buy this, thinking my Apple Watch's cycling app was enough. Now I don't regret it at all. Not only is it superior to the cycling app in every way, but it also pairs with the Giant Power Pro on my TCR, so I get a double bonus: improved MPH, GPS tracking, and also now my power meter is useful!

I have it in my mind to try the Allaround version again now that I've changed rims. They didn't play well with my old rims and blew off several times.
I really miss the supple ride of the G-One Allaround however and wonder about the Speed version. How long do they last you?

A new bike!
Picked up this badboy yesterday evening. Previous owner bought it in late 2018, used it a few times and got injured. After inspecting the components, I could tell it wasn't used much. According to me, it saw less than 200kms of road.

I use 30mm G-One Speed tires almost exclusively on the road, but they work fine on hard-packed dirt as well. I got almost 2700 miles out of the first rear tire before the threads were starting to show(with zero flats). The front tire has about 4k miles so far, and it looks like it practically new.

I use 30mm G-One Speed tires almost exclusively on the road, but they work fine on hard-packed dirt as well. I got almost 2700 miles out of the first rear tire before the threads were starting to show(with zero flats). The front tire has about 4k miles so far, and it looks like it practically new.
I run 35/38mm GO All-arounds on my gravel bike/wheels - if I were to say that they're an 8/10 for fast gravel with stretches of pavement, I'd say that the GOS is a 9/10 for pavement with stretches of gravel.

I'm curious about other 28-30mm tubeless road tires, but these have treated me so well that I'll let others do the testing for a while.

That's where I was a year ago - curious but perfectly content. The curiosity has been stewing, though, so happy to shake things up and share thoughts. Actually, Tim has me wanting to try some Vittorias, so those and Panaracers are on the list to try after the Hutchinson that I have on now. And actually, the new Pro Ones look really interesting. Lots of new players in this space, so it's fun.
