Today I did 25 miles. Still recovering from being sick. Flu sucks, 0/10, do not recommend.

Met up with some dudes from the track for a little road riding in Griffith Park, extended coffee break, and swung by a friend's cross race to heckle. We missed her whole race though. Not sure if best heckle or worst heckle. Forgot to turn Strava back on after coffee break, but probably did around 45mi altogether.

Don't judge me. We're usually really good parents, I swear! But now we don't say shocked or electrocuted, just "vibrated."

Today I dropped the frame off to the guy whose going to powdercoat it. Has going to give me some samples and then I get to decide on the exact color. It's going to be some sort of metallic brown

Your cog is slipping.
Today I learned that not only do I need glasses, I need bi-focals.
All the better to see through the bull****, I suppose.

A few years ago I was doing some remodeling work in my house and left some wires exposed that were (apparently) live at some point. We found out that our son, who was 5 or 6 at the time, learned about them from personal experience. He told us, "If you touch those they will vibrate you."

Had a good session at the track tonight. It was cold, and smaller group than usual, but we went hard -- paceline, chariot races, chasing exercises, and two-man team pursuits. My legs are dead.

Scrod,
ROFL!! So your arms are getting shorter, eh? Welcome to the club. Getting older is not for sissies.
I remember the day that my arms got suddenly shorter. I was in a dimly lit restaurant with my wife and the menu's font was too small. I kept pushing my arms out to read it. My wife looked up at me and said, "What's wrong?" At that moment I realized, dang.......LOL

klhada,
Those are some interesting and very utilitarian customizations to your tool wall board. The drill rest and Allen key holders are especially interesting. I just might steal that idea. I can't quite figure out what those inter-locking blocks are just above the top tube though. What do they hold?

Reinstalled the steel fork and Bruce Gordon Rock 'n' Roads on my Nature Boy Zona. Done with cross. Ready for winter.

I took to using clip-on shades from Walgreens. Not super stylish, and may not work for all frames, but they're cheap and get the job done. I may go back to contacts though, so I can wear real sunnies.

I finally got on the contacts bandwagon this year and ill be honest i love em. contacts allow me to be completely glasses free if i want, and they let me have sunglasses that aren't $300 that i will lose, scratch, and break
It also lets me still wear my glasses sometimes, which i do like because apparently i look good in them, and they help me look less like samsquanch at work. I considered lasik, and i know a few people that are super happy after having done it but my vision isn't really terrible (Things get blurry far away) and i like having options. oh yeah and the $4000 pricetag with zero insurance coverage too.
