I wouldn't say my mind is blown, but there were some nice bikes in there...

One I can definitely see myself being interested in.

Done.

Don't know if you need to have a Facebook account to view it.

Absolute beautiful and interesting rides. That Battaglin frameset is quite something.

Not one for facebook but glad the settings allow one to view.

Likely the fourth very significant and large collection offered up in the last 12 months that I've been aware of.

Perhaps the market for vintage, NOS bicycles will be flooded, giving us an opportunity to afford to do some n+1 shopping...

I like how the Fuso, the two Stouts, and the Sachs all seem to be set up with a corncob freewheel with maybe a 16 tooth largest cog...maybe that's why those bikes have never been ridden!

Very nice collection from what I've seen so far. My favorite is the mint Sachs - glad that is too small for me

Sorry to hear but reading of ones plans made me think about whats involved with having a museum. And the real reason - to share, offset expense, other??

Lots of ifs-
type and status / taxes structure, etc.
Private, public?
Any other types of special bikes to round out the patrons interest?

Reminds me of a fellow I know, really, really well heeled. Lots and lots and lots of spectacular higher end classic cars. Crazy amount in many digits. He played some game on trying to offset the having, declaration and tax structure. Won't even begin to describe the property but I actually exceeded 100 mph (ahemm in car) in his immaculate paved driveway. He built a large spectacular fancy building ---- without permits. Yep.

Anyways, it was definitely private.

Trust me there's a lot more then what's posted. He's just getting started. Wish he would of had the Otis Guy when I was invited to see his bikes. The person who's helping him take pictures told me someone already had 10-20 bikes picked out to buy. So if your really interested I would just contact the person running the page or I can get you in contact with him.

I'm not sure how he is going to do but told me yesterday he was seeing seller on Sunday and would get me a price(s) for the ones I asked about. Not sure if he will post or is doing by interest. I even gave a little wish list of bikes to see if he has. No idea on if prices will be good, fair or other just yet....

Since we're all dreaming, how about a C&V ride to end all C&V rides.

A whole mess of us meet up at a nearby airport. We rent a big bus and drive over to this place. Everyone has one hour to look over the merchandise, then a blind auction ensues. You can bid on multiple bikes, but can only choose one to purchase. At the end of the auction, we adjust saddles, bars, swap out pedals as necessary, and go for one long ride.

Gugie your only about a five hour drive from the collection as it's down in Ashland/Medford area. Plus while down there you can visit a few builders...DeSalvo, Slawta (Landshark), Lyons, Keith Anderson, Jeff Jones and a few others.

Yep. I've got a cousin in Grants Pass, and my sister just bought a place near Yoncalla, just north of Roseburg. Might see if I can get down there soon.

It's a shame the museum deal fell through. Those all deserve to be displayed for the world to see.
