I have the very same Reparto Corse frame ('98?) though with Winwood CX carbon fork in black (nice match for the oversize frame tubes and makes the whole front end black which looks boss). Guy I got it from bought a closed bike shop and found the frame in a box upstairs, which had been there for 10 years. His wife raced it in CX with Mirage for a season but she wanted a lighter (carbon) frame (never weighed it but it's pretty light and I have 3 steel bikes). I then bought the frame, fitted it with Ultegra 10 speed w/ Mavic Open Pro rims and FSA Energy compact CX crank. I raced it a few times, even put on a rear rack and did some overnights. This frame has pinpoint handling, no rear flex (it doesn't plane), fits a true 35 mm tire, is very responsive to input and climbs like a goat on fire.
I own 6 bikes, 4 vintage, one modern carbon, and this Bianchi. Never thought I would sell any of them as 3 are wonderful mid-level examples in very good shape with all original components (Trek, Bridgestone, Cannondale, Klein, Vitus is frame only and a carbon bike). However, if I had to sell all but keep one, it would be the Bianchi. It is not a frame that is common or easy to replace. It's pearl Celeste. Can take fenders or rear rack. It was built by hand in Milan, Italy. Maybe one of the last years TIG steel frames were made in Italy (haven't done much research, but still....). This would be a fast bike on Michigan's gravel roads or chip and seal. The frame alone is worth the asking price. 'Nuf said.
Always nice to have geometry:
73.5 seat tube
72.5 head tube
425 chainstay
101.5 wheelbase
45 fork rake
59 trail w 35 tires
Get this bike. You won't be disappointed - it's a keeper!
Cheers,
