Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have not done one since residency, but I was quite good at them back in the day. Champagne tap FTW!

I think I may be C&V'd in my skills now.

Sad.

So when he shows up with his 38mm tires pumped up to 100 psi I don't argue with him.
Why did he buy a Diverge?

I didn't ride much in the 80s; I was on the farm, on gravel roads, but loads and loads in the 70s and 90s. And then I missed most of the oughts, being in Belize, with no roads at all leading to the house.

Only 105 degrees today, but it’s a little moist too

43 miles, but I’m not gonna say anything about the pace.

We're not breaking 90, during this wet week. Extremely humid though. I wrung my gloves out after this morning's ride.

Dark chocolate peanut have been a staple in my diet for years. Probably why I could afford to drop a few pounds

Tuesday night club TT yesterday. I rode the single speed. I thought I had a 16t sprocket, but I didn't. So, I had to use the 18t which limited my speed on the flats.

No wind to speak of and I was mostly able to keep my cadence above 90rpm with burst of 100+.

Also, we had to use a new course. The usual course is getting stoned and oiled.
