I checked it out, but didn't see what bike he used. Some of his pics show MTB, some road, if he did that on a road bike, that's macho!

Wow so he did use a road bike. Gearing looks fairly standard too. Yeah there is no way I could do that on my road bike. Impressive!

Yep Saturday. It rained pretty hard for an hour before and during my climb then hailed a little at the top. Should've ridden Sunday

Saturday started out nice, but by 9am it was raining hard and I turned around at Junction. Ranger said there was a blizzard at Summit. This is my attempt at photographing hail:

Yep. I was really unprepared. Didn't have waterproof shoe covers or good gloves on so got wet the whole way up. Couldn't feel my hands or feet by the time I was at the summit. Going up was less of an issue though. While going down I really couldn't brake at all. Descended 2 miles and had to call my gf to come save me lol. I had blue lips and was shaking like crazy by the time she got to me.

Would still do it again

Mount Diablo State Park with Shantelle Tatiana Tupaz and Rozel Mimi Tupaz.

We typically have many cyclists ride to the top of Mount Diablo but most are adults. Shantelle, 10 years old from Pleasanton rode up with her father today. I had to take a photo of this remarkable girl and her dad on this rare accomplishment.

It was a wonderful night for a ride to the summit.

No photos this weekend but climbed diablo again yesterday. 72 and sunny at the base. 39 and hailing up at the summit. Dafuq! Thankfully I had gloves and a wind jacket in my jersey pocket! Anyway. Good ride regardless. It's never a regret to go up there

Yes, it's been pretty cool at the top, the Descends have been cold if you are not prepared for it.

Here the weather site I use to fo find out the weather and dress and carry accordingly.

Sweet! I'll be using that site from now on.

Gotta say though the feeling of weather going from 39 back to 70s as you descend is amazing haha

With all the DR training I am doing the morning descents and the afternoon descents can be very different.

Yes, some days I don't get warmed back up until I hit Ygnacio Valley Hill on the way home.
