What do you roadies use for a bicycle repair/wash stand?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Park stand. No cyclist should be without one.

Another vote for this stand. Inexpensive...works well.

It's proof yet again you don't have to pay a premium price for a quality item.

Thanks for the tip. That stand has a lot of really good reviews and the price is great. Was thinking of getting a Feedback but more than double the cost.

I use the Elite Workstand to build, clean and maintain my bicycles.

For degreasing/cleaning the chain, I leave it on the bicycle and use a brush to scrub the chain/cassette/pulleys with the rear wheel still attached. Once those bits are clean I remove the rear wheel and clean the rest of the bicycle, along with the bar tape, using soapy water.

+1 And it is a bit cheaper than the PCS-10. Main difference is the type of clamp. I like the one on the 9 better.

I originally had (and still have) two pieces of climbers rope attached to the ceiling in my garage, with a carabiner on the end of each and alpine butterfly loop knots at various places along the rope. I loop each rope around whichever part of the bike I want to elevate (usually saddle and stem) and clip the carabiner into one of the loops. I put a metal loop on the ceiling as well to hook the ropes up and out of the way on the ceiling. Yes it can move a bit, but was ~$15 in materials so the price was right at the time. The only downside was not being able to use my hose to wash the bike as I didn't want to spray in the middle of my garage. So I also have a Park PCS-9 that I can move into my driveway, or use in the basement, or take with me to events.

I also prefer not to wash my tape with soup. Just soap and water for me. Less tasty, but gets the job done.

Loving my TACX stand. Easy to set up, small footprint (great for setting up in the basement or garage), no clamping on delicate seat posts. And, you can spin the bike around for easy access.

I like the tripod idea.

I use a leather lined bench vise.

What do you roadies use for a bicycle repair/wash stand?

Two inner tubes tied to my basement ceiling. One for the saddle, one fir the bars. Built and rebuilt dozens of bikes with this set-up.
