chain slip

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem- I ride a wahoo kickr trainer which I have had since October, was riding yesterday doing a fairly long steep climb, on Rouvy- about 3 mi of 8-10 %, I was in the little ring in front and inside gear on the back, stood up for a few seconds, heard the chain slip and look down, the chain has come off towards the trainer side and is now wrapped in the trainer. What a mess. I had to take the cassette off of the trainer, unwind the chain and put it all back together. Fortunately no permanent damage, but what a mess.

Maybe you have a spacer installed whee there shouldn't be one?

Ideally the derailleur should shift the same on the trainer or off the trainer. if thi6is a dedicated trainer bike then adjust shifting for the trainer.

Chain drop, not slip. Limit screw out of adjustment?
