Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Just threw them on for the lols, but I have so many hand positions now. When I'm actually done with the thing, it's only gonna have one set of bars on at a time.

My $275 Craigslist Pista. Before and after ($20 later).

(Yes, I know the chain needs to be tightened).

I've been riding circles in my driveway for a while now haha. There's like 5 distinct hand positions, pretty interesting. Kinda reminds me of backup barz, but even more stupid (genius?)

No man, you just need chalk. Some bar tape is actually worse than plain bars when wet.

What do you need brake pads and cables for? The invisible brakes?

CUT that steerer please.

It's gotta handle like **** like that. Uneven rotational momentum, unbalanced weight distribution, it's a crash waiting to happen.

I'm not comfortable with riding something without brakes on the street, but the pads that are on there now are so crap. I need to change those out.

If I cut the steerer, how will I fit 2 sets of bars on? I'll cut it once I get my new stem and try that position out.
