if your asking myself, its really only a 10 mile ride from home. But I'm not a huge fan of riding home in the dark, so I park at My sisters place in Town, and commute. I save roughly 15$ a day for parking, so it adds up over time. My sisters place is 12 min ride to my restaurant I work at. Im usually off at around 10pm at night.

My understanding is there is no way to make it fixed.... unless there is?
My respect for Trek just went up. Too bad production was limited. Yours is sweet.

It is a Trek District Carbon. 14 Lbs. Based on the Madone 5 frame but with a modified dropout. My understanding is that it has a cam shaped retention gizmo where the dropout should be allowing the tire/wheel/belt to be serviced. Trek made an earlier version out of metal with "carbon" in the name but it is not the same. I believe Carbon refers to the drivetrain, not the frame.

The last article is by a bunch of guys who raced it and is worth reading.
Looks like ricerocket swapped the seat and I had to catch my breath when I saw the bar/stem/grips with the link cable. Trek shows it with a rear brake. I read about these when they came out and was pretty surprised to see one pop up here, especially one so nice. I'm no fan of Trek but ricerocket's bike makes me want to take my Bianchi into a corner and curl up in the fetal position.
They show up on CL once in a while. There is one in Orange County CA for sale now.

I Have not needed to take out the rear wheel as of yet, I will be soon when i'll be replacing it with some carbon hoops.
current bike weight is 14.15lbs. with the bmx pedals. so I'm hoping to have it under the 12lbs mark when all finished with it.

I am curious - is a belt-drive set-up lighter than one with a normal chain?
No offense meant, perhaps it is even a little jealosy on my part, and you may actually regard it as a compliment - but to me your District is the epitome of what crabon wunder-bike loving, cubic dollar spending roadies always look for when they decide to widen their horizons to FG/SS bikes

I am not really a fan of carbon bikes, but this one has made me reconsider my prejudices. Nice bike @Aka_ricerocket

I love that bike. And, I think folks should buy what makes them happy and spend whatever they want to spend. Bikes, even expensive bikes, are not an expensive hobby in comparison to many hobbies. Plus, you get fresh air and exercise.

Yeah, but your Cervelo likely cost more than his entire fleet put together...
Looks like you already worked and spent on lightening up what is a light bike to begin with - the saddle, flat bar, caliper, minuscule lever and chode stem are all weight-weenie

I would think that the Belt itself is lighter than a Single speed chain.
I work hard so I guess I can play hard, is sorta my mentality. I sold my Motorcycles last year for these two Bike I have now, and honestly I Love every minute of it. Hands down the Trek is probably the funnest thing on 2 wheels i've owned.
If you ever get a chance to buy one I wouldn't pass it up. Hopefully In time they will be a collectors item and they will go up in price! . I'm not too sure how many of them were produced, but i'm guessing maybe 1000-1500 in the world?
who wouldn't want wake up to this view every morning!

I'm not going to post it here again...but I do own one of my own dream bikes, which gets ridden hard almost daily, and I certainly do smile every time I ride it or even look at it - so I get that part of your argument.
One last question if you don't mind? What is that brake lever and cable housing? Sorry, guess that was 2
Hope you continue to enjoy your wunderbikes for a long time...
