Someone needs to come up with an app to address this situation. Or maybe a kickstarter project.

Isn't that what 911 is for?

Other alternative "apps" suggestions may get this thread placed in the P&R realm.

I was mostly referring to the comments but this site has a history of playing up every altercation/crime that occurs on a bike path. IMO, this only feeds the flames of intolerance towards homeless and/or mentally ill people.

That's a problem when there are those on both sides who insist that junkies and bums, and the homeless and mentally ill are all the same.

Car antennas are pretty flexible. Wouldn't you just blow through it with a nice bruise?

From the link above, "“A man hit me with what appeared to be a car antenna and checked me into the railing." As a one-time hockey player, I read that to be "he hit me with his stick (a penalty but usually not momentum changing) and hip-checked me into the boards (perfectly legal, but that can be a full NFL worthy body slam)."

Riding a bike at 20 mph and being checked into the railing? And not wearing hockey gear? Not my idea of fun. Do that much damage to another person in any other (non-sport) setting and you will be up for assault.

You still have to warn people that this is happening. You would get hip checked ,or what ever, and find out that this has been an ongoing problem and I know your words would be like "why did someone not say anything!?

Limo liberal, People who live a cloistered life of privilege expressing concern for issues they have absolutely no exposure to in real life. They're the polar opposite of the hay-seed conservative.

Of course neither label/description applies to the content of the article cited by the OP.

What would that have to do with either limos or liberals?

Ah! That makes more sense.
