Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Value of a 2004 raleigh grand prix?

I'm looking to buy a 2004 raleigh grand prix as a commuter/beater. The bike needs some work, but I was trying to figure out a good price for it.

Here's a link to the bike on bikepedia:
https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...Prix&Type=bike

Thanks!

Just too much detail in your post. The bike is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it. Too much detail?

Not much. It's a 6 year old Sora/Tiagra bike.

Bikes: What is a bicycle?

At 6 years, that is an old low-level bike with poor components. It has no collectors value and no charm like classic/vintage bike. Depending on it's condition, it could be a good beater or backup bike. Expect to pay $150-$250 depending on condition. If they ask more, negotiate down or just walk away.
