Yes.
Shimano has a 24 mm spindle and the Easton has a 30 mm spindle so it needed a different bottom bracket.
I went with the Wheels Mfg thread together for PF30 frames. https://wheelsmfg.com/pf30-outboard-...nks-black.html

Fellow wichita rider hi there.
Here's a few pics of my conversion. This bike has had several lives since I bought it in 2010. It is working really well now.
build list:
2010 Cannondale Quick CX frame
Cannondale Super Fatty DLR80 headshok fork
Sram Wide S Series cranks (S902) with 46T X-Sync ring
Sram Red 2x10 levers
3T Ergonova Team 44cm bars
Avid BB7-Road calipers, 160mm discs
DT Swiss R24 Spline Disc wheels
WTB Nano 700x40 TCS tires tubeless with Orange Seal
What's next:
I might try a Specialized Trigger Pro 700x38 rear tire to see how much faster it is than the Nano (I know it's lighter).
I'm probably moving to 42T front and 11-36 rear - already have the parts. I underestimated the rolling diameter of the Nano 40c, it's a freaking big tire. When I can do 30 mph spinning about 100 rpm in the 3rd smallest cog, that means my chainring is too large.
Finally, I'm looking at winter commuting options. I've found some studded tires from last winter on closeout and I'd rather buy now and hold them than pay full price in November.

I upgraded my game a bit today, going from my used Giant TCX SLR 2 to a brand new Niner RLT 9 RDO 4 star build from Excel Sports Boulder. I've been looking around for an upgrade, and this deal was too good to pass up. They have a bunch of demos for sale, and they're marked down from $4300 to $2998, no tax and free shipping. I checked my nearby Jenson USA shop in Corona, and they have the identical 4 star build going for $4300.
I called the tech at Excel and he confirmed that many are "new in box" but being closed out as demos. The bike checked all the marks for what I wanted (2x11 Ultegra, full carbon, already tubeless, etc...). They'll build it up and ship it to me in CA by Wednesday. I read about the deal from a thread here, so thank you to whoever posted that up! I'll let you know how it goes. I got the last a 56cm in Cement/Blue, and the sales tech said he had moved 6 of them today. They have several others in various sizes and plenty of 56's in the black/orange if anyone is looking:

Not sure if I commented previously on your bike at the C&V forum, but - very cool re-imagination of a vintage frame using modern components - compares favorably to some of the modern 1x gravel bikes $$$.
Which fork did you use?
And, how do you like the VO Cigne stem? Any issues mating it to the steerer?

the vo stem is great! i really wanted the crust ld stem in clear to show off the fillet brazing goodness, but it's quite a bit more expensive and not in stock at the moment, so i went with vo. it's a little nerve wracking trying to make sure and not cut the steerer tube too short, so i have the bars a little high at the moment. you can see the spacer i have under the stem, i plan on putting some miles on it as is, but i think i'll probably lose the spacer and cut the steerer tube down a little more. better to start long and work your way down than to go all it right out the gate and end up with it too short, heh.

I routed the housing under the bar tape - works just fine but you have to find a really long shifter cable to reach the RD, ESPECIALLY with T/T cable routing like I have.
Again, really cool build. I need to find an old Japanese bike like this now and just tinker and see where it takes me.

That thing is bad to the bone! Makes me think I routed the cable incorrectly on my bar end shifter (see Ridley above)

i was thinking about routing the shifter cable under the bar tape the full length at first, but i ended up with those orign8 gary bars, and they have a really sharp bend at the top of the drop, under the brake lever. i didn't want to have to try and make that corner and worry about the added friction on the cable. it probably would have been fine, but i don't mind having the cable hanging out like i've got it.
i am a tiny bit concerned about the housing getting in the way once i have my front rack on, but i don't think it'll be too much of an issue.

This is my new 2020 Trek Checkpoint ALR5:
There's a bit of backstory behind this bike. I test rode one at my LBS and decided to mull over buying it for a week, and during that time, Trek updated their website with some new colors for the 2020 version of this bike. Their "Matte Axinit" color looked amazing, a kind of orange/coppery color, and I had my shop order me one sight unseen. Can you guess how that turned out? The bike ended up using a color-changing paint, but 99% of the time it looked purple:
I don't deny that the purple looks cool, but I'm just not a purple bike guy. Thankfully I knew the bike wouldn't be for me within a day of bringing it home, and my LBS graciously allowed me to swap it for the charcoal ALR5. They don't figure it will be a challenge to sell.

@noglider, have you made any progress on your Super Course? I am curious what direction you have gone with it.
Still left to do:
- Align the rear so it's centered. It's way off to the right after spreading it.
- Rack, fenders, lights.
- Handlebar tape, after I determine the brake levers are in the right place.
- Maybe change the handlebars or stem or both. The bars are high, and the reach is short.
- Eventually, I'll sand and refinish the frame.

@jlaw, they’re 700c. The bike came with 27” wheels and lots of clearance. Now it has even more clearance except between the rear tire and chain stays.

They look funky, but they're extremely easy to use. I can shift in both directions with a single finger. Braking is as easy as on normal bars.

The man in the big brown truck came by this afternoon bearing gifts. Two boxes from Excel Sports containing my new Niner RDO gravel bike.
Even though Excel said these heavily discounted 4 star builds were “demos”, the sales tech was truthful when he said many were never unboxed. My 56cm in Concrete/Blue was new in the box. It arrived very well packaged and they shipped the front wheel in a 2nd box.
The Stans Grail wheelset came already set up tubeless with the Schwalbe 38’s mounted. Two injector bottles of sealant were provided as well. A few minutes with the compressor and the wheels were ready to go.
The only other assembly was inserting the seat post and attaching the bars. I got it out for a few laps around the hood and it fits well. Very light and quick with a nice cushy ride. We will see how it handles the gravel later in the week.
