No, they're not. At all.
But my wife hates 'em for the color (she's an artist) so if they irritate her sensibility I know they'll help me stand out against the summer background colors where I ride now.
I find myself dreaming about Randonneuring I'll reconsider my riding attire I assure you.

A pair of black LECOL bib shorts for my 2024 season.
3 tires, 2 chains, 2 new bibs, new shoes, I'm all set now. Shouldn't have to buy anything except coffee and viennoiseries.

Bar tape. Of course now I have to suppress the urge to scour the web and splurge on the last remaining pair of uber-retro-cool but ridiculously priced black annodized Brevetti Campagnolo bar end plugs.

Airplane tickets to Majorca, and a rental bike there. Escaping the f*ck out from winter for 10 days in March.

Bar plugs are fun! Yes, very expensive for what you actually get. But... in absolute dollars not too bad, especially if they last a long time.
