Trek DS 8.x and model years
I've been test driving hybrid bikes for a few months and really liked the Trek DS line. The 8.4 or 8.5 specifically.
Does anyone know when the 2016s come out? This is my confusion, some sites list it now as a 2016, but it is identical to the 2015. I thought they generally at least change a color or something? Any shared knowledge is appreciated!

It seems they sometimes 'roll over' bikes from one year to the next if there have been no changes. My '2016' DS 8.3 is identical to the 2015, and was actually built in late 2014. Go figure...

The 2015 DS 8.6 was chrome. I don't think it was a very popular seller due to the color. Therefore, the black 8.6 was released as a 2016 model about half way through the 2015 model year. Some sites listed it as a 2015, some as a 2015/2016, and some as a 2016. Clear as mud??!!

Aside from the color, did anything else change?
It seems as though they are more-or-less a fixed price at every store (same as listed on trek.com as well). Is this correct from your experiences?

From my understanding, nothing changed on the DS line from 2015 to 2016, except the colors and a slight price drop.
