December 40 Hour Challenge

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

40 hrs indoors is truly awful. I managed 42 indoor hours in sunny socal last Dec when doc forbid me from riding outside with fractures.

Never again doing a 3hr z2 ride inside.

I say the same thing to people that live here in AZ and complain about the heat.

I'm Canadian, so complaining about the weather is a national past time.

2 Dec. I'm rounding it up to an hour: https://www.strava.com/activities/443273683

1/40 completed.

To be honest, I'll consider 20hours this month a success. But I'll play along anyway

Dec. 1: 45 minutes of O/U intervals on my resistance rollers. Then an hour of heavy lifting at the gym, doesn't count.
Dec. 2: 1:30 of VT1 on the rollers. Noticed that my roller bike odometer turned over 4000 miles since the last battery change. It's been a couple years.

The foolishness continues.

December the 1st 31.0 miles, 1,096ft, 1.49.03
December the 2nd 43.2 miles, 3,104ft, 2.50.24

It's supposed to stay warm for the next week or so, I'm trying to put in as many miles as I can before it decides to be winter again.

Props to all getting outside. For my schedule arriving at work in the dark and coming home in the dark, I will have to climb on the trainer weeknights, and get some miles outside on the weekends.

It begins tonight!

I rarely bother with Strava, but I guess the Edge 1000 automatically uploads it.
