I have the same frame, probably same year. 2010 Origin8 CX700. Very versatile frame indeed. Built/rebuilt mine 3 times now with different focus each time. Makes a nice road oriented commuter bike, great touring rig, and great unloaded trail bike. I do experience some toe overlap issues with my CX700. I see you are running CC forks. I have the Origin8 straight fork on mine. Might make a difference. What size is your frame ? How tall are you and your standover height ?

Just picked this up for a song. I've been oogling over this bike since the first release photos. A local bike shop happened to have one in stock....for two years. I guess it's sometimes fortunate to be a freak.

I've only had the Straggler out for a couple shakedown rides, but so far it's amazing to have a bike that actually fits! My Kona Jake was just too small, and the Straggler is so much smoother. The biggest surprise, though, was descending. I had no idea that 30+mph could be anything but a white-knuckled, bone-shattering, twitch fest. This bike begs to go faster, and by my Strava numbers, it does!

I used to live 5 miles away from endless gravel roads. My Specialized Crux helped me finish my first gravel century and helped me get away from EVERYTHING whenever I needed a break from the city. Unfortunately I sold the bike a few months ago and moved far away from these gravel roads
I am posting the picture for posterity.

Here's my brand new 2015 Ridley X-Night. I just picked it up this evening after work. I new that it was a magazine demo bike but I had no idea that the article I'd been reading on it all week, was a review of my actual bike! I was able to find this out by comparing a photo of the bottom bracket that shows the serial number, to my serial number.... They're the same!
Here's a link to the article done by James Huang on Bike Radar. Needless to say, I'm beyond stoked! I plan to use this not only as a CX bike but, also for Gravel Grinding, and as my road bike, since it's very simular to Ridleys Helium SL road bike frame.

2007 Kona Jake
My 2007 Kona Jake doesn't do any actual cyclocross but had commuting duty for several years. Now it gets the occasional ride along the canal.

Nice! I've been considering a 650b conversion for my Vaya and glad to see there is clearance for 2.1. Ran Renegade 1.8x29 for a while but had remove the fender mount bolt to get them to fit.

So here's the story of my new 2014 Kona Jake Orange.
This was my first new bike since I was a child (I picked it up last spring) and I started riding to work a couple of days a week. I made the terrible mistake of locking it up with just a lock cable at the front of our downtown building, which is right outside the security desk and ironically where all the smokers hang out. I figured it was safe as it had lots of exposure. But in August I was downstairs on my usual rounds and noticed my bike was gone. I quickly went outside to confirm I wasn't looking in the wrong spot but there it wasn't...stolen. I promptly filled out a police report, contacted my LBS to confirm my serial number and asked them if they kept a list of reported stolen bikes (which they do) and started browsing Kijiji and calling pawn shops. Needless to say, I was choked.
Three days later, I get a phone call from my LBS:
"Chris, you reported your Kona stolen, right"
"Yes"
"We got a call from Salmon Arm RCMP. They have your bike. Here's all the info, get in touch with them and arrange to get your bike back!"
So for the uninitiated, Salmon Arm is in interior BC, 510 kms from Calgary (a 6 hour drive) so obviously I had some thoughts as to how it made it out that far but I made arrangements to take my boy out with me to camp out for a night with him, visit the detachment and get reunited with my bike.
So after a road trip and providing them with all the documentation required, the evidence clerk showed me the way to my bike which was all there, wheels off but even still had the saddle pack with my shoe covers and rain jacket still in it. They even recovered my cable lock (I know, stupid idea locking with a cable lock and I showed up with a Kryptonite lock and an old U-Lock to make good on better protecting my bike). There was just a few knicks in the paint on the frame but otherwise the bike survived the ordeal. After getting home, I brought it back to the LBS and got her all tuned up again.
I am in the very small minority of us who've recovered a stolen bike but I thought I'd share the story with the pics.

My current/dream bike: It's a Nashbar Cyclocross bike that I built using their cyclocross frame and carbon fork:
The story behind this: I was only going to take the frame + fork and change it out from my previous bike which was a Schwinn Elite Herald Hybrid:
I realized how worn my components were, so I just overhauled everything. Cost me more than expected, but it was mega worth.
Sweet bike! Glad you got it back. I refused riding my new bike until I got a more secure lock for it. Nothing better than peace of mind for sure.
